With an air of mystery, nobody knows for sure which distillery is the creator behind Cask Orkney 18 Year Old, although some big dram fans might be able to have a good guess. This lovely release was bottled by A.D Rattray with a striking blue bottle label at 46% ABV. On the nose, expect to see some slated caramel notes, along with beeswax and butter soaked saltanas. Baked delights and caramel follow through into the palate, with some salty notes like a ghost of the sea. The finish is soft and gentle with light oak and walnut notes.
