Highland Park is a distinctive single malt Scotch whisky shaped by its remote island home in Orkney. Founded in 1798, the distillery combines centuries of tradition with carefully crafted whisky, characterised by rich sherry-seasoned oak, warming spice and gentle, aromatic heathered peat smoke.
The Distillery
Located in Kirkwall, Highland Park’s historic distillery has been producing whisky since 1798. Traditional techniques remain at its heart, including hand-turning and drying malted barley in its historic kilns, while modern innovations continue to improve efficiency and protect its future.
Master Whisky Maker
Marc Watson became Highland Park’s Master Whisky Maker in 2026, bringing more than 11 years of whisky industry experience to the role. Previously Master Blender for The Famous Grouse and Naked Malt, he now guides the character and consistency of Highland Park whisky.
The Core Collections
Highland Park’s core range offers a journey through its distinctive Orkney character, with different age statements revealing how time influences the whisky. From the approachable 12 Year Old to the richer 15 and 18 Year Old expressions, each brings greater depth, complexity and layers of flavour.
Limited Editions
Highland Park’s limited editions offer an opportunity to experience the distillery’s character through distinctive cask selections and creative releases. The Between You and I series takes a more personal approach, inviting drinkers to explore flavour through their own memories and associations.
Sustainability
Rooted in its Orkney home, Highland Park is working to reduce its environmental impact through renewable electricity, improved energy and water efficiency, and heat recovery at the distillery. It is also committed to responsible peat management and protecting the natural ecosystems surrounding its island home.
