Macallan Time : Space Sherry Cask

This third edition in Macallan's TIME: SPACE collection is a landmark release: It is the first whisky to be influenced by casks seasoned with Valdespino sherry, having been finished in some of the first 200 casks seasoned after The Macallan took over the Valdespino bodega. After full maturation in predominantly European oak sherry-seasoned casks, this second stage of sherry cask influence adds further depth and refinement. On the nose, sherry-soaked raisins, figs and medjool dates meet frangipane, cinder toffee and dark chocolate truffles. The palate is rich and rewarding, with ginger cake, treacle toffee, bramble jam and chocolate-coated cherries, finishing with warming wood spices, espresso notes and gentle oak. This historic whisky is presented in the Collection's signature circular vessel, which in turn comes inside a golden presentation box inspired by the palomino grapes of Valdespino's vineyards.
