Made using drams from three casks, Slane Irish Whiskey is quite unique. It is made with expressions from virgin oak casks, Oloroso sherry casks and seasoned casks that previously contained bourbon and Tennessee whiskey. On the nose, barley and sweet oak leading onto ginger and caramel. The palate is interesting, with notes of vanilla sponge filled with cream and jam and a hint of butterscotch. The long finish has toasted notes. Just lovely.
