The name given to Tomintoul Seiridh comes from the Gaelic word for sherry and this lovely sherried expression was finished in Oloroso sherry casks after it was first laid to rest in American bourbon oak casks. The nose is slightly nutty with barley notes, a hint of mocha and some gentle red berry. The palate is far richer with some Christmas cake, toasted pecan nuts, sticky toffee and a little whisper of cloves. The finish is long and slightly sweet with nots of liquorice, blood orange and some butterscotch coffee.
