Brugal Brugal 1888 Ron Gran Reserva Familiar

An exquisite Dominican rum, Brugal 1888 Ron Gran Reserva Familiar is twice distilled for purity and was aged in American oak barrels. The second round of aging is in Spanish oak sherry casks giving it punchy fruity sweet tones. The nose is sweet but toasty, with charred oak aroma followed by hits of sultanas and dates, smoke and honey. Then onto the palate, we see notes of butterscotch, manuka honey, demerara sugar and a whisper of wood smoke. The toffee apple finish is sublime with notes of slated butter.
