The Bunnahabhain distillery was founded in 1881 on the island of Islay – one of Scotland’s most prestigious regions for whisky-making. The name itself means ‘mouth of the river’, and the location of the distillery could not have been more apt – it overlooks the Sound of Islay, on the sheltered north coast of the island. Bunnahabhain has set itself apart from other Islay whiskies in that it is a much milder single malt, Smooth and easy to drink.
