Awarded consecutive awards at 2019 and 2020 World Rum Awards, this is a luxurious rum of exceptional quality. The name 'Gunpowder Proof' refers to the practise on Royal Navy boats of adding a touch of gunpowder to their tots of rum and setting them alight as a means of testing their rum hadn't been watered down- expect a powerful flavour. Notes of pungent molasses, treacle, toffee.

Pusser’s Gunpowder Proof Original Admiralty strength dark rum is excellent. At 54.5 % alcohol by volume it’s on the strong side but has an unparalleled depth of flavour. It is equally at home with a splash of water or in a sophisticated cocktail. This is a quality rum with great provenance including the Royal Navy.
