Lochlea Sowing Edition - Second Crop

This is the second edition of Sowing Edition, the first of four bottlings in Lochlea's annual Seasonal Releases. This edition is all about the springtime, when Lochlea sow the barley that will eventually be used in their whisky. The single malt for this edition is only matured in ex-bourbon barrels, which add layers of vanilla and sweetness to Lochlea's fruit-forward whisky. 

Tasting notes from Lochlea: 

Nose: Signature sweet red apple and pear

Palate; Vanilla pods and almond oil

Finish: Medium length with a crisp, refreshing pine forest note
