Jerusalem’s Yerushalmi distillery is responsible for this gin, the ‘Olive Branch’. The double-distillation process takes place in copper stills; the gin is accordingly smooth while still boasting a breadth of unique botanicals, including juniper, coriander, and za’atar.

So many products such as gin are — fine – – but clumped together with only subtle variations; what is my favorite criteria for something new is a unique profile but carefully balanced within the contours of what is expected, and this “ Olive branch“ extends all that and more to me. Some of It’s botanicals are uniquely derived from its (very special) region and, bottom line, it is a wonderful gin for sipping, vis-à-vis its complexity, frozen or room temperature - – or mixing, for a unique twist before the twist!
