A really deep and thick release, Glenfarclas 21 Year Old is a heavily sherried single malt that is extremely pleasing and very smooth. The palate contains plenty of barley, as well as a hint of oak in the finish. Nicely rounded.

Have had a few 21 yr olds and this ons is maybe not at the top end of smooth but nearly. Very easy to drink, nice sherry and wood flavours. Would have liked a bit more wood but this is just a personal preference. At the price it is a very good introduction to older whisky. Will definitely be a staple of my collection from now on. This one is nearly finished.
