Bourbon cask aged Glencadam is finished in ex Merlot wine casks from Bordeaux, creating a supple whisky with layers of stewed fruit, toasted nuts, cocoa and spice.
Tasting notes from the producer:
NOSE: Sweet aromas of wild strawberries and fruit candies mingled with cedar, bramble jam and ginger biscuits.
PALATE: Tangy layers of stewed fruits and rhubarb crumble mingled with cacao, roast chestnut and oak spice.
FINISH: Impressions of dark chocolate cherry liqueurs and espresso coffee with a gentle cake spice linger.
