Monkey Shoulder is a unique blend made from three of Speyside’s finest single malts. The term ‘monkey shoulder’ itself comes from a slang term for an old maltmaker’s injury. There isn’t a single drop of grain whisky in this concoction, which creates one of the smoothest and most mellow-tasting blends on the market.
The idea was first developed by ‘Malt Master’ David Stewart, and production is now overseen by his successor, Brian Kinsman. Every single batch is taste-tested by Brian before the product is bottled and receives its so-called ‘triple monkey badge’.
