This is the oldest Port Ellen ever released, filled in the year the Queen visited the Port Ellen maltings. It is sourced from the last two casks of 1980, aged entirely on Islay. With notes of brine and dry seaweed on the nose, this majestic whisky boasts a perfect balance of sweet, salty, and smoky flavors, finishing with a long, lightly peaty aftertaste.
Bottled on 07.12.21 in 605 bottles, from 1 refill American Oak Hogshead and 1 ex-Sherry European Oak Butt, at Port Ellen, Isle of Islay.
