Having been distilled in 2008, this Tomatin made the move to a Riversaltes Cask in 2017. It’s a member of the ‘French Collection’, which sees Tomatin whiskies finished in French wine casks. In this instance, it’s produced a winning balance of sweet and bitter, with prominent barley in the nose.
