To say this is a true taste of Islay is no exaggeration. All the barley for this release was grown at Rockside, Kilchoman's farm, before being malted, peated, distilled and matured on the island. Kilchoman fans will know that the distillery does a limited release of 100% Islay whisky every year, but this 11-year-old marks the first time such a whisky has been added to their core range. It's a landmark achievement for this family-owned distillery and a testament to two decades of hard work. Expect notes of citrus, salty smoke, toffee apple, walnut, tropical fruit and butterscotch.
